NCPEA President Bob Blancato is the President of Matz-Blancato and Associates in Washington, DC. He was Executive Director for the 1995 White House Conference on Aging. From 1977 - 1990 he served as the Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Human Services of the House Aging Committee, the first Subcommittee to hold hearings on Elder Abuse in 1981 in both Massachusetts and New York. He has worked on the development of the Elder Abuse provisions in the Older Americans Act and Family Violence Prevention and Treatment Act His experience in national policy work covers more than 20 years in both Congress and the Executive Branch. He is on numerous Boards including the American Society on Aging and Generations United. He won the ASA Award from the American Society on Aging in 1999.
